Job Position: HR Manager
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR manager to join our hotel team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, training and development, benefits administration, and compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic HR Planning:
- Develop and implement HR strategies to drive business growth and improve employee engagement
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives
Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Manage recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, and job offers
- Develop and implement retention strategies to reduce turnover
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and develop future leaders.
Employee Engagement and Culture:
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to improve satisfaction and retention
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment
- Collaborate with department managers to promote a culture of excellence.
Training and Development:
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Identify training needs and evaluate program effectiveness
- Collaborate with department managers to develop succession plans.
Employee Relations and Compliance:
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and industry standards
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in HR, preferably in the hospitality industry
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
- Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise multiple tasks
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with HR software and systems (e.g. Workday, ADP)
- Knowledge of labour laws and regulations
- Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
