Job Position: HR Manager
Location: Mainland, Lagos

Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing HR strategies, policies, and practices that align with the company’s goals.

The role requires a proactive professional who can manage recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organisational development in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing:

  1. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract skilled staff across production, sales, and administration.
  2. Manage onboarding and orientation processes to integrate new employees seamlessly.

Performance Management:

  1. Design and implement performance appraisal systems.
  2. Work closely with supervisors to monitor staff performance and recommend training or disciplinary action where necessary.

Employee Relations & Engagement:

  1. Promote a positive workplace culture that reflects the company’s values.
  2. Address grievances, resolve conflicts, and handle disciplinary matters in line with company policy and labour law.
  3. Organise employee welfare, recognition, and engagement programs.

Training & Development:

  1. Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs for both factory workers and administrative staff.
  2. Implement career development initiatives to enhance employee retention.

Compliance & Policy Management:

  1. Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws, health & safety standards, and company policies.
  2. Regularly update and communicate HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification is an added advantage).
  2. Minimum of 3 years HR management experience (preferably in manufacturing or fashion industry).
  3. Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor law and HR best practices.
  4. Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work in a structured yet fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  1. Salary: N150,000 per month.
  2. Oversee payroll administration in collaboration with the Accounts Department.
  3. Recommend competitive compensation packages to attract and retain talent.

HR Operations & Administration:

  1. Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  2. Generate regular HR reports for management decision-making.
