Location: Mainland, Lagos
Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing HR strategies, policies, and practices that align with the company’s goals.
The role requires a proactive professional who can manage recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and organisational development in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract skilled staff across production, sales, and administration.
- Manage onboarding and orientation processes to integrate new employees seamlessly.
Performance Management:
- Design and implement performance appraisal systems.
- Work closely with supervisors to monitor staff performance and recommend training or disciplinary action where necessary.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Promote a positive workplace culture that reflects the company’s values.
- Address grievances, resolve conflicts, and handle disciplinary matters in line with company policy and labour law.
- Organise employee welfare, recognition, and engagement programs.
Training & Development:
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs for both factory workers and administrative staff.
- Implement career development initiatives to enhance employee retention.
Compliance & Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws, health & safety standards, and company policies.
- Regularly update and communicate HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 3 years HR management experience (preferably in manufacturing or fashion industry).
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor law and HR best practices.
- Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a structured yet fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: N150,000 per month.
- Oversee payroll administration in collaboration with the Accounts Department.
- Recommend competitive compensation packages to attract and retain talent.
HR Operations & Administration:
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Generate regular HR reports for management decision-making.
