Job Position: Human Resource Manager

Job Description

  • The Human Resource Manager is saddled with the responsibility of developing and implementing HR strategies and Initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture across the organisation.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Design and support the Organisation’s talent frameworks including performance management, succession planning, and human resource planning.
  2. Develop and Implement strategic practices aimed at providing an employee- oriented high performance culture emphasizing quality, productivity, goal attainment and empowerment.
  3. Provide insight and recommendations on HR initiatives that can be leveraged to strengthen business results e.g. leadership/development programmes.
  4. Liaise with managers to understand learning and development needs, create a training plan that details required training needs that is delivered within the agreed/specific timescales and ensure outcomes are appropriately measured and reported.
  5. Develop an Academy approach to the design of behavioural competency framework and Learning Programmes that support each job level with the business.
  6. Carry out the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance appraisals and improvement plans.
  7. Recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
  8. Provide competitive market research and prepare studies to help establish rewards practices that help to recruit and retain employees.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree / HND in any Social Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration disciplines
  2. Professional certification in Human Resources from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Nigeria or its overseas equivalent (e.g. HR Certification Institute (HRCI), Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD)
  3. 5-7 years experience in a similar role Knowledge, Skills and Competency Requirements
  4. Sound Knowledge of employment laws and practices and experience in the overall HR Value chain.
  5. Excellent negotiation and strong business acumen skill.
