Job Position: HR Compensation & Benefit Officer
Job Location: Warri, Delta
Job Summary
- The People & Culture Officer in charge of Compensation and Benefit will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining compensation and benefit programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- The job holder will collaborate with GHR, finance, and management to develop compensation strategies, design benefit plans, and manage the communication and administration of programs.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and analyze data to determine compensation and benefit trends and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain compensation structures, including job evaluations, salary ranges, and incentive plans.
- Administer the employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other benefit offerings.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with legal requirements and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
- Advise management on compensation and benefit issues, including new plan design and program changes.
- Responsible for all EMS activities and is a member of the EMS team
- Manage the communication and education of compensation and benefits programs to employees.
- Effectively design and implement compensation and benefit programs that meet the needs of the organization and employees.
- Analyze and report on employee satisfaction with compensation and benefits programs.
- Monitor and manage compensation and benefit costs to ensure alignment with budget and financial goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation and benefit data and reports.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
- Promote employee engagement and motivation by creating a compensation and benefits program that meets their needs and expectations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits practices, principles, and regulations.
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software and payroll systems.
- Analytical skills to evaluate data, conduct market research, and make informed recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in handling sensitive employee information.
- Proficient in using spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) to analyze and present data.
- Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in handling employee information and sensitive mattersTop of Form.
