Job Position: Human Resource Officer

Job Location: Ughelli, Delta

Job Description

  1. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Human Resource Officer to join our HR team.
  2. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  2. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with organizational goals and legal requirements.
  3. Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions.
  4. Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
  5. Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance on performance improvement plans.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
  8. Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  9. Foster a positive workplace culture and promote employee engagement initiatives.
  10. Assist in developing and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
  11. Provide HR support and advice to management and staff on various HR-related matters.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as an HR Officer or in a similar HR role.
  3. Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  4. Excellent understanding of labor laws and regulations.
  5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  7. Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  9. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  10. Candidate must be a resident of Ughelli & it’s environs or willing to commute for this role.
