Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Human Resource Officer to join our HR team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with organizational goals and legal requirements.
- Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance on performance improvement plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Foster a positive workplace culture and promote employee engagement initiatives.
- Assist in developing and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
- Provide HR support and advice to management and staff on various HR-related matters.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Officer or in a similar HR role.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent understanding of labor laws and regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Candidate must be a resident of Ughelli & it’s environs or willing to commute for this role.
