Job Position: Human Resources (HR) Generalist
Job Location: Lagos (Remote)
Job Description
- We are looking for a Lagos based, mid-level HR Generalist to join our team.
- The goal of this role is to ensure the HR department’s operations runs smoothly and effectively, to deliver maximum value to Busha.
- You will work with other cross-functional team members and will rely heavily on both qualitative and quantitative data to make informed decisions.
- You will show competence in handling different human resources responsibilities and have strong communication abilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide support in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies and provide guidance and interpretation of HR procedures.
- Prepare paperwork and schedules for smooth new hire onboarding process, and coordinate with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first day experience
- Handle administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientations, exit interviews and data entry in human resource information systems (HRIS)
- Support the talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organise training and development initiatives.
- Monitor employee Morale and company culture.
- Undertake tasks around performance management
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits, and organising team building activities.
- Provide support to employees in various functions such as leave, compensation, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Implement and administer human resources policies and procedures.
- Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems.
- Provide support in administering benefits and employee performance programs.
- Support employees with efficient problem solving when issues arise.
- Recommend and develop employee relations practices to foster positive employer employee relations.
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and contribute to policy development.
- Implement programs to improve employee experience.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 3+ years Human resource experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Human Resources field.
- Experience with HRIS Systems
- Excellent record keeping skills.
- Capacity to apply discretion and maintain high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Strong problem solving, verbal, written and communication skills.
- Understanding of personnel records management process.
- Understanding of Labour & Federal laws.
