Job Position: Human Resources Intern

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The Human Resource Intern assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties.

Job Responsibilities
Recruitment, Selection & On-boarding:

  1. Assist with job placement processes
  2. Provide assistance with candidate shortlisting for vacancies.
  3. Manage interview scheduling & necessary communication with candidates with respect to interview scheduling.
  4. Assist with interview coordination.
  5. Liaise with the necessary teams to ensure new hire work-tools and workstation are available before resumption.
  6. Assist with new hire on boarding as may be delegated.

HRIS Management:

  1. Maintains the HRIS database and generates scheduled or requested reports to assist management.
  2. Updates employee phone directory and company organization chart. Maintains a database of employee contact information.
  3. Periodically audits the database to ensure accuracy.
  4. Keeps employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in a timely manner.
  5. Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements

Employee Engagement:

  1. Manage the administration of staff birthdays and other similar anniversary recognition.
  2. Assists with planning and coordinating of Employee Engagement events and activities as they arise.

Benefits Management:

  1. Support in leave administration processes as request arises.
  2. Support in loan management administration.
  3. Manage staff HMO issues and liaise with Health Care Provider in the resolution of issues.

Admin Management:

  1. Maintain up-to-date employee records on file & attendance.
  2. Letter writing
  3. All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates should possess a First Degree from an accredited tertiary institution

Technical Skill Requirement:

  1. Administrative Skills
  2. Computer & MS Office Suite proficiency

  4. Written& Verbal Communication Skills
  5. Presentation Skills
  6. Knowledge of HR Laws and Practices
