Job Position: Human Resources Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the operational functions of the Human Resources (HR) department in line with best practice while also providing strategic input into all HR policies and processes.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  2. Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified candidates as well as successful onboarding of new hires
  3. Collaborate with Business Unit Heads to understand skills and competencies required for vacancies while ensuring job descriptions are developed for all roles
  4. Develop and implement an effective performance management framework
  5. Develop and implement an effective Talent Management strategy to ensure talents are identified.
  6. Develop and implement a succession management framework in line with the Talent Management strategy
  7. Develop a Rewards and Recognition strategy in line with the organization strategy
  8. Oversee day-to-day HR operations process including Attendance, Employee Discipline, workforce management, etc.
  9. Oversee monthly payroll process and ensure statutory remittances are made timely.
  10. Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to aid a positive work culture and employee retention
  11. Maintain an effective Records Management System
  12. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review of policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  13. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  14. Ensure employee adherence to HR policies and procedures
  15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  2. Provides constructive and timely reports.
  3. Handle all HR engagement activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • HR Certifications is highly desired.

Working Experience

  • 8 – 10 years of human resource management experience.

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  6. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  7. Excellent knowledge of best HR practices
  8. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  9. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  10. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
