Job Description

  • The Human Resources Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws.
  • The HR Officer plays a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting organizational goals.

Job Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies.
  • Post job openings, screen applications, and conduct interviews.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Mediate disputes and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Promote a positive work environment and employee engagement.

Performance Management:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal systems.
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues.
  • Support employee development plans and succession planning.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and organize professional development programs.
  • Coordinate orientation sessions for new employees.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Policy Development and Compliance:

  • Ensure HR policies are up-to-date and comply with legal requirements.
  • Assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure confidentiality.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Provide information to employees regarding benefits and payroll inquiries.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Generate reports on HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, employee satisfaction).
  • Analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements.

Health and Safety:

  • Promote workplace health and safety initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of previous experience in HR or related roles is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Salary
N100,000 – N120,000 Monthly.
