Job Position: Manager, Instrumentation & Engineering – Cement Plant

Job Location: Obajana – Kogi / Ibese – Ogun / Gboko – Benue / Okpella – Edo

Job Description

  • To provide critical support in ensuring that the production equipment are in perfect working condition and are available for use, at optimal cost of reliability.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and monitor implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance in conjunction with relevant Section Heads.
  2. Ensure compliance of all electrical equipment in accordance with DCP/local safety regulations.
  3. Ensure electrical maintenance activities are performed in a safe, professional manner, in accordance with industry standards, environmental restrictions, original equipment manufacturers’ recommendations and DCP Standard Operating Procedures.
  4. Enforce accident prevention and occupational health work procedures and regulations.
  5. Proffer solutions to solve electrical problems to ensure optimization of equipment reliability.
  6. Ensure safekeeping of materials, tools, and equipment.
  7. Perform any other duties assigned by the Head, Electrical Maintenance.

Job Requirements
Desired Experience and Competencies:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  2. Minimum of eighteen (18) years of post-qualification experience
  3. Good knowledge of cement products and cement manufacturing processes
  4. Expert knowledge of maintenance management methods, of predictive inspection tools and of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System),
  5. Extensive knowledge electrical engineering and industrial automation,
  6. Good knowledge of safety legislation and rules
  7. Good knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and TPM
  8. Good oral and written communication skills
  9. Organizational Awareness
  10. Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  11. Innovation & Creativity.
