TU Publishing & Consulting is an independent publishing house founded in the U.K. but based in Lagos, Nigeria, and provides services globally. We are a writer-focused organization that simplifies the publishing process for writers/authors and takes them from finished draft to fully published in 60 days, whilst allowing them to keep 100% royalties and creative control.

We are hiring a digital and social media savvy, positive, enthusiastic, and hard-working intern to join our company in Lagos as a Social Media Content Creator. Ideally, someone who is a writer/ blogger and is interested in the publishing industry.

Job Role

Manage the company’s online presence by; developing and implementing a strategy, producing good content as well as facilitating excellent customer service, and managing social media campaigns.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop creative and engaging social media strategies.
  • Manage the day-to-day handling of social media platforms- Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, whilst adapting content to suit different channels.
  • Oversee, plan and deliver content across the above-specified platforms.
  • Develop, launch and manage new competitions and campaigns that promote the company and brand.
  • Create bi- monthly newsletters
  • Form key relationships with influencers across social media platforms.
  • Engage with clients and provide information on services and/or sales.
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions.
  • Monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as ig Analytics and LinkedIn insights.
  • Analyze competitor activity.
  • Understand the overall concept of the company, including the brand, clients & service goals.
  • Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity.
  • Recommend improvements to increase performance.
  • Provide a weekly report

Job Requirements

  • Ability to use software and scheduling tools such as Postfity, Notion and Mailchimp.
  • Social media marketing experience
  • Verbal communication
  • Good organisational skills
  • Professionalism
  • Ability to deliver great customer service

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Writing and or blogging experience is preferred
  • Prior social media marketing experience is preferred
  • An undergraduate degree is preferred but not a requirement.
