The Olive Prime Psychological Services is a new “mental health facility” based in Abuja, currently looking for the best hands that can provide excellent and client focused services. We are committed to providing individuals with a flexible pathway to full recovery in a way different from the conventional inpatient services. We intend to provide support for our service users where we engage them in various psychological therapies and other complimentary activities which in the long term equips them with a more realistic and flexible form of recovery.

Job Position: Internal Audit Officer

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking for an Audit Officer to ensure compliance on internal and financial policies in out centres.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Identifies any internal control gap and measures for its improvement.
  2. Report to Line Manager all risk issues in accordance with auditing standards.
  3. Flag up any internal control issues.
  4. Performs audit procedures to verify that controls are operating through testing and interviewing techniques.
  5. Analyses and concludes on the effectiveness and efficiency of the control environment.
  6. Identifies control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  7. Plan and carry out financial, regulatory, compliance or operational reviews/audits.
  8. Coordinates work with Risk, Legal & Compliance,andother control-related activities and with others within Internal Audit.
  9. Ensure daily compliance with the internal and financial policies of the facility.
  10. Do a daily call over on all expenses across all intersect centres allocated to you and ensure that all postings are correctly done
  11. Takes routine stocks check and verifies that records in the bin cards show true representation of stock on ground
  12. Ensure that costs are not overstated on all expenses.
  13. Ensure compliance with all regulatory policies.
  14. Ensure that an internal control system is in place to control loss, theft and risk in the facility.
  15. Documents the results of audit work in accordance with the audit department and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards.
  16. Assess, evaluate and promote compliance to Intersect internal policies.
  17. Provides advice on internal control and participates in enhancing internal audit standards and practices within Intersect.
  18. Carry out spot checks on logs
  19. Provide feedback on Accounting Procedures.
  20. Carry out Physical Verification of all Fixed Assets in the centres assigned

Job Requirements

  • First Degree must be in Accounting
  • 3 – 4 years work experience as an internal auditor
  • Excellent knowledge of healthcare financial business operations and risk-based auditing attained through 2 to 3 years of progressive work experience with a focus on financial risk and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong skills in negotiating, relationship building, problem-solving, and timely problem escalation.
  • Applicants should reside in Lagos.
