Job Position: Internal Control / Auditor (Manufacturing)

Job Location: Port Harcourt – Rivers

Job Description

  1. Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
  2. Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
  3. Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts, etc.
  4. Review and approve transactions in line with laid down policies.
  5. Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
  6. Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
  7. Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
  8. Maintain open communication with management and audit committee
  9. Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum
  10. Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
  11. Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards.

Local Internal Control:

  1. Collect and detailed Review and follow up Financials Closing documentation (Sapin II accounting controls, Invoicing Checklist, Monthly financial closing checklist)
  2. Check and report gaps related to implementation and respect of identified key procedures
  3. Perform random check and controls on the Cash risk (petty cash and sales on desk)
  4. Payment securisation (digital payment implementation) and Supplier Call back procedure
  5. Ensure stock counting process and mobile asset alternative procedure is effective
  6. Check and follow up on the pending bank reconciliation items
  7. Perform any studies and make the reporting.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification with 4 – 5 years work experience.
