Internal Auditor – Plantation at Worknigeria

Job Position: Internal Auditor – Plantation
Location: Ondo

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop the organisational Risk Management Plan.
2. Plans for financial, regulatory, compliance or operational reviews/audits
3. Periodically analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of the control system in place to mitigate risk and promote the control culture of the organisation
4. Conduct performance audit and special audit investigations as and when necessary, or upon request by an appropriate authority;
5. Liaise with all departments within the organisation to ensure effective and efficient auditing of operations;
6. Coordinate audit activities with external auditors.
7. Recommend changes in policies and procedures in a way that will positively impact the achievement of the goals and objectives of the Audit Unit in the organisation.
8. Examine and report on the organisation’s fixed assets register from time to time.
9. Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

1. MSc / BSc in Accounting or a relevant field.
2. Full professional accounting qualification (ICAN, ACCA or equivalent)
3. At least 9 years post-qualification working experience with 3 years in a managerial position in a plantation.
4. Considerable knowledge of accounting principles, practices, procedures and generally accepted auditing standards
5. Comprehensive knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements
6. Results-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
7. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
8. Advanced computer literacy skills – MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
