Job Position: Inventory Assistant

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. Counts store inventory for official store records.
  2. Maintain logs of all products and supplies.
  3. Keep up-to-date on store, shelves and order availability
  4. Check actual store inventory against computerized records.
  5. Report any discrepancies in inventory records to store manager.
  6. Receive store deliveries.
  7. Assist in unloading inventory from delivery truck.
  8. Organize inventory in stock room.
  9. Restock merchandise on sales floor as necessary.
  10. File all delivery and inventory receipts.
  11. Ensure that stock room is clean and well organized.
  12. Move and restructure organization of stockroom to make space for new inventory.
  13. Assist in cleaning and organizing the store upon closing.
  14. Retrieve products from stock room for customers.
  15. Review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy.
  16. Assist Inventory Manager on the sales floor in locating items.
  17. Assist Inventory manager in devising new ways to reduce shrink and maintain inventory control.

Job Requirements

  1. Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
  2. Pays close attention to detail.
  3. Possesses physical strength necessary to lift boxes and other heavy items on a regular basis.
  4. Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  5. Works well with a team.
  6. Manages time efficiently.
  7. Possesses broad knowledge of the range of store products and services.
  8. Is capable of employing basic math skills.
  9. Communicates clearly and effectively.
  10. Demonstrates professional and polite demeanor with customers.
