Job Position: Inventory Officer

Job Location: Ojodu-Berger, Lagos

Job Description

  1. The inventory officer will be responsible for preparing the purchase orders, receiving, storing, issuing the goods, managing the stock levels and giving out the supplies from the stock.
  2. Preparing the inventories and maintaining the stock records, using computerized systems for entering the records.
  3. Checking the supply invoices with the purchase orders.
  4. Coordinates the purchasing, inventory and warehousing functions.
  5. Research on the sources of supply and is responsible for obtaining quotes from the suppliers as well.
  6. To maintain record of receipts as well as issuance of items that are going out of the warehouse so as to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  7. To be involved in reconciliation of physical stock with the stock in the system.
  8. Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory.
  9. Analyze data to anticipate future needs.
  10. Oversee that the arrangement of goods has been done in an orderly system within the stock location system so that the stock can be stored easily and retrieved whenever the need to do arises.
  11. Ensure that the stocks stay physically protected in the warehouse.
  12. To undertake the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock on a regular basis by working closely with the designated staff members.
  13. To supervise the offloading process, the subsequent arrangement of merchandise, material, etcand consignment so that it can be accessed and identified easily.
  14. To ensure the correct and timely valuation of the inventory.
  15. To be involved in directing and managing procedures related to offloading, packing and unpacking
  16. Preparing the reports on adjustments done to inventories that may be damaged, spoilt, etc.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of five years experience in Inventory Management in a Manufacturing sector.
  2. Strong research, organizational, and planning skills
  3. Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  4. Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Effective organizational and multitasking skills.
  7. Preferred: Proximity to Ojodu-Berger.

Salary

  • N120,000 monthly.
