Job Position: Investment Banking Trainee
Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Job Summary

As an Investment Banking Trainee, you will be part of our dynamic team focused on learning the ropes in providing financial advisory and investment banking services to our clients.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of investment banking, including financial analysis, market research, client interaction, and deal execution.

You will work closely with the senior team members on transactions and contribute to the overall success of our organisation.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Participate and assist in the preparation of financial models, valuation analyses, and client presentations.
  2. Conduct industry and company research to support deal origination and execution.
  3. Participate in due diligence processes, including gathering and analysing financial and operational data.
  4. Support senior team members in client meetings and presentations.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues across departments, including legal, compliance, and operations, to ensure smooth transaction execution.
  6. Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments relevant to investment banking activities.
  7. Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as required by the team.

Qualifications

  1. HND, B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  2. 0 – 2yrs experience with a minimum of second class Upper
  3. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  7. Prior internship or work experience in finance, investment banking, or related fields is a plus but not compulsory.
  8. A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a desire to learn and grow in the investment banking industry.
  9. An individual with great passion and grit for investment banking

  2. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues
    from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
  3. Time management and organisational skills to prioritise tasks and meet
