Northwest Petroleum & Gas Company Limited is a Company in the Oil & Gas Sector of the economy with international repute. The Company has vast experience in the importation, supply, distribution, and storage of Petroleum Products and is also actively involved in the official export of Crude Oil from Nigeria being one of the twenty-seven Companies approved by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for allocation and export of Nigerian Crude Oil. Presently, amongst other facilities, the Company operates two (2) Ultra-Modern Mega Petroleum Products Storage Terminals with a combined capacity of 96.8 million litres certified and duly licensed by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and an Ultra-Modern Berthing Facility with an International state of the art Fire Fighting and Safety Equipment in the Calabar Free Trade Zone, Cross River State.

Job Position: IT Business Analyst

Job Description

  1. The role will serve as the liaison between the IT department and other departments in the company.
  2. The role will also be responsible for translating business needs to IT solutions, and vice versa, with current programs, projects and initiatives in mind.
  3. The role will also leverage data analytics to assess processes, systems, and determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to stakeholders

Job Responsibilities

  1. Collaborates with business staff to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by the information systems and technology.
  2. Gathering, validating and documenting business requirements.
  3. Analyzing commercial data such as budgets, sales results and forecasts
  4. Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  5. Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
  6. Creating functional specifications for solutions.
  7. Estimating costs and identifying business savings.
  8. Implementing and testing of solutions.
  9. Discover, organize, and clarify business needs and review/produce specifications for change
  10. Supporting business transition and helping to establish change.
  11. Leveraging on data to build intelligent dashboards that can aid management decision-making
  12. Support the Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution
  13. Negotiates plans and timeframes, ensuring that clients understand the anticipated result.
  14. Develops and communicates detailed specifications for implementation.
  15. Produces reports, timelines, and graphics to communicate expectations and progress to management, customers, investors, and other relevant parties.
  16. Maintains and ensures proper documentation and coordinates or performs testing of system modifications.
  17. Developing business intelligence dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, etc.

Job Requirements

  1. Relevant degree in any IT related field
  2. IT certifications will be an added advantage
  3. Adequate Knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions
  4. Developing business intelligence dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  5. Problem-solving skills
  6. Critical thinking skills
  7. Communication skills
  8. Database Management
