Job Position: IT Consultant (Multi-Disciplinary Oversight of All IT Roles)
Location: Lagos (Remote)
Expected hours: 2 per week

Job Description

Alpha Global seeks a highly experienced IT Consultant to oversee and guide strategic and technical alignment across all 23 IT role categories. This senior-level position is ideal for a well-rounded professional with deep multi-domain expertise and leadership experience across engineering, DevOps, data, security, product, and delivery functions. The consultant will provide part-time advisory support (2 hours per day) to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across the Alpha Global IT ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide cross-functional oversight and technical leadership across all IT domains.
2. Review project plans, delivery frameworks, and performance metrics across engineering teams.
3. Mentor team leads across Frontend, Backend, DevOps, AI/ML, QA, and Infrastructure.
4. Advise HR and recruitment teams on candidate screening and role evolution.
5. Lead weekly advisory reviews on architecture, security posture, DevOps pipelines, and product delivery.
6. Act as a strategic bridge between business leadership and technical execution teams.

Required Experience

1. Minimum of 10 years total experience in IT/Engineering.
2. At least 5 years leading or consulting across multiple IT verticals (full-stack, DevOps, cloud, data, security, QA, embedded, product management).
3. Track record of guiding teams or companies in multi-disciplinary IT environments.

Certifications:

1. Preferred: TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, PMP or SAFe certifications, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, and data security or DevOps-related credentials.

Core Skills Required:

1. Deep expertise in software architecture, infrastructure, DevOps, data engineering, AI/ML, and product delivery.
2. Experience designing and scaling systems involving cloud, container orchestration, security frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
3. Working knowledge of all technical stacks covered under Alpha Global (React, Node, Python, Java, AWS, Azure, Docker, Terraform, LLMs, embedded systems, and ERP workflows).
4. Proven ability to assess risk, architectural trade-offs, and quality benchmarks across specialities.

Good-to-Have Skills:

1. Experience working with distributed or outsourced development teams.
2. Involvement in international consulting or C-level technical strategy.
3. Certifications across multiple domains (Cloud, Cybersecurity, Agile, Data).

Soft Skills:

1. Strong mentoring and stakeholder facilitation capabilities.
2. Excellent written communication for architecture reviews and documentation.
3. Calm, structured decision-making across fast-moving project teams.

Schedule:

1. Part-Time: 2 hours per day (remote)
2. Flexible hours based on timezone alignment with Nigeria and the Netherlands.
