Job Position: IT Manager

Job Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos

Job Description

  • The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of WBFA’s information technology infrastructure.
  • This role will ensure that IT systems and services are secure and reliable, and support the organization’s goals.
  • The IT Manager will also play a critical role in protecting WBFA’s data and systems from cyber threats.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and implement IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Manage and maintain IT systems and equipment.
  • Ensure the security and reliability of WBFA IT infrastructure.
  • Assess the organization’s IT infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Manage and maintain WBFA’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data centers.
  • Develop and implement a robust cybersecurity strategy to protect WBFA’s IT systems and data from cyber threats.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to support WBFA’s programs and operations.
  • Collaborate with program staff to understand their technology needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure that technology solutions are user-friendly, efficient, and cost-effective.
  • Develop and implement data management policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the integrity and security of WBFA’s data.
  • Support data analysis and reporting.
  • Manage IT help desk operations.
  • Lead and manage IT projects, such as system implementations or upgrades.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Ensure network security and performance.
  • Select, implement, and manage IT applications.
  • Troubleshoot IT issues and problems.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget.
  • Negotiate contracts with IT vendors and suppliers.
  • Respond to security incidents and breaches.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5years of experience in IT management and leadership.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and cybersecurity.
  • Experience with various IT systems and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team.
