Job Position: IT Manager

Job Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Responsibilities

1. Executes an information technology strategy.
2. Manages, coaches, trains, inspires, and disciplines staff.
3. Researches and implements technological strategic solutions.
4. Accountable for accomplishing IT staff results, including uptime and technology adoption.
5. Plans, monitors, and reports work and project results
6. Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
7. Maintains a safe and secure work environment.
8. Develop personal growth opportunities.
9. Maintains the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
10. Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
11. Preferably has Project Management experience and/or certification – Completes projects by coordinating budgets, resources, and timetables with internal and external business partners.
12. Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
13. Preserves assets by implementing cyber security, disaster recovery and backup procedures, and information security and control structures.
14. Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, and identifies problems.
15. Has great knowledge of emerging technological trends, evaluates trends and delivers reports and training to organization.
16. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
17. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
18. Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a Computer field from top-rated University
2. Minimum five (5) years of strategic IT work experience
3. Optional product or system certification
4. Project Management Certification
5. Oil & Gas experience is an advantage.
