Job Position: IT / Social Media Officer
Location: Lagos

Job Description

The IT / Social Media Officer will be responsible for managing the company’s social media presence, website backend, and IT infrastructure.

This role requires a blend of technical skills and marketing savvy to ensure the company’s online presence is engaging, effective, secure, and well-maintained.

Job Responsibilities
Social Media Management:

  1. Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  2. Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, and writen) across all platforms.
  3. Monitor social media channels for trends, insights, and opportunities.
  4. Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budgeting and performance analysis.
  5. Analyse and report on social media performance, providing actionable insights.

Website Backend Management:

  1. Manage and maintain the backend of the company website(s), including content updates, and ensure smooth functionality.
  2. Implement and manage SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings.
  3. Monitor website analytics and performance, making necessary adjustments.
  4. Ensure website security and data integrity.

IT Management:

  1. Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
  2. Provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficient operation.
  3. Implement and maintain security protocols, including data backup and recovery systems.
  4. Manage IT budgets and vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience of 2 – 4 years in social media management, website backend management, and IT administration.
  3. Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics, and advertising.
  4. Solid knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security protocols.
  5. Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
  6. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
