Job Position: IT Support Engineer

Job Location: Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description

  • Support the Senior Engineer to provide effective solutions to meet client’s information and communication technology needs, including team leadership to achieve corporate objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assist in developing solutions by collecting information on needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; and investigating problem areas.
  2. Support the Senior Engineer to determine operational feasibility of projects by evaluation, analysis, problem definition, requirements identification, solution development, and cost implications determination.
  3. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, codes etc.
  4. Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  5. Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  6. Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal network; and professional development.
  7. Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  8. Accomplish engineering assignments by deploying requisite competencies to meet clients’ needs.
  9. Any other duties assigned by Management.

Job Requirements

  • Team up with the Senior Engineer and other Engineers to ensure that the ICT needs of Edgebase and clients are successfully met, including ddesigning, developing, and installing software solutions.

  1. Number of Return Calls/ Works from Assignments Handled
  2. Achievement of Agreed Turnover
  3. Adherence to Agreed Budget/ Expenditure
  4. Number of Complaints
  5. Quality and Timeliness of Reports

Job Specification
Academic and Professional:

  1. Degree qualified in the fields of ICT, Engineering, Sciences or other related fields. Master’s Degree would be added advantage.
  2. Membership of relevant professional bodies is required.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years experience from an ICT environment, with responsibility for leading a team of engineers.
