Job Position: IT Support Engineer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. As an IT support engineer, you will meet with clients to determine the nature of the problem, diagnose hardware or software issues, provide effective assistance, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  2. You may also be required to install new software applications and train clients on proper application use.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Installing and configuring client computer systems.
  2. Responding to client IT support requests.
  3. Meeting with clients to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues.
  4. Providing technical support on-site or via remote-access systems.
  5. Troubleshoot & Repair computer systems Laptop/Server/Desktop/Printer etc and keep the record
  6. Troubleshoot IOS/Windows /MS-Office related issues
  7. Software update check Antivirus/ windows / MS-office
  8. Ensure Network Uplink uptime Escalating the issue to responsible body/Vendor/Engineer
  9. Configure firewall, manage policy
  10. Email configuration, troubleshooting
  11. Regular Internet link and structural cable check
  12. Escalate the Inverter /Battery related issue to inverter team
  13. Regular check of CCTV , Biometric terminals and VoIP Phones
  14. Ensure Network access to only authorised person after approval
  15. Regular Preventive & Corrective maintenance of Network system Switch / Wireless AP/Firewall
  16. Preserve assets, information security and control structures
  17. Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  18. Keep the record of IT-assets Laptop/keyboard/mouse/charger etc

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  2. Minimum of 4 years work experience as a technical support engineer
  3. Proven work experience as a technical support engineer.
  4. Knowledge of web services, API, and IP-based protocols.
  5. Experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Shell
  6. Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems.
  7. Good time management skills.
  8. Excellent interpersonal & organizational skills.
