Job Position: Junior Accountant

Job Location: Amuwo Odofin, Lagos

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc. in Accounting with 1 – 2 years work experience as an accountant
  2. A female applicant with an understanding of the basic knowledge of accounting.
  3. Spreadsheet proficiency Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills (Excel) is important.

Job Competency Requirements:

  1. Ability to post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  2. Ability to update accounts receivable, issue invoices, update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
  3. Ability to assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
  4. Ability to assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
  5. Ability to update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
  6. Ability to prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports and assist the finance manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
  7. Ability to assist with other accounting projects as given by the finance manager.
