Job Position: Junior Mobile Developer with React-Native
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop new user-facing features using React Native.
  2. Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
  3. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  4. Optimise components for maximum performance across a wide range of mobile devices and operating systems.
  5. Work closely with designers to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  6. Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end and back-end aspects of the mobile application.
  7. Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and agile development processes.
  8. Maintain and improve the existing codebase.
  9. Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
  10. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure best practices are applied.
  11. Write unit and integration tests to ensure robustness and reliability.
  12. Assist in the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks.
  13. Perform regular testing and debugging of the application to ensure quality.
  14. Create and maintain documentation for code, reusable components, and development processes.
  15. Document new development processes and update existing ones as needed.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and understanding of its core principles.
  3. Experience with React and React Native frameworks.
  4. Familiarity with mobile app development for both iOS and Android platforms.
  5. Understanding of RESTful APIs and mobile app integration.
  6. Knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
  7. Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
  8. Basic knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles.
  9. Understanding of mobile app deployment processes for App Store and Google Play.
  10. Familiarity with native build tools, like Xcode, Gradle (Android Studio), etc.
  11. Basic understanding of state management libraries like Redux.
  12. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  13. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  14. Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
  15. Some experience with mobile development projects, whether through internships, school projects, or personal projects.
  16. Understanding of Agile development methodologies is a plus.
