AB Microfinance Bank is a national microfinance bank licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), with its head office in Lagos and branches spread across Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo and Anambra State. Job Position: Junior Software Developer

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Design, Develop and maintenance secured mobile applications
  2. Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and reliability
  3. Comment on/document own code according to standards and guidelines
  4. Document deployment instructions in line with operating procedures
  5. Bug fixing and improving application stability and performance
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  7. Work with outside data sources and Restful APIs
  8. Development of functional and architectural solutions for realizations of requirements
  9. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of B.Sc / HND in Computer Science, Software engineering or related discipline
  2. At least 3-year experience of mobile app development with android SDK
  3. Proven software development experience and Android skills development
  4. Experience publishing a high quality Android app to Google Play Store (at least one app)
  5. Knowledge of the mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  6. Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON, with 3rd party, with Git/Bitbucket
  7. Experience with security software and solutions and messaging applications
  8. Experience of developing technical documentations
  9. Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
  10. Good knowledge of Programming languages Java or PHP and relational database
  11. Experience in web development, mobile development and object-oriented programming
  12. Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5,
  13. Experience working with product management and UI/UX designers
  14. Fluent English (Excellent written and verbal communication skills)
  15. Experience in Linux is an asset. Experience of work in financial sector is a plus
  16. Any relevant android certification (Google’s Associate Android Developer) would be a plus.
