Job Position: Learning & Development Specialist

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

  1. Developing and implementing strategic plans for learning and development, including identifying training needs and developing training programs
  2. Developing and implementing strategic plans for learning and development, including identifying training needs and developing training programs to address them
  3. Collaborating with leadership team to develop training programs in areas such as leadership development and conflict resolution
  4. Providing guidance and counseling to employees on personal development issues related to career planning and goal-setting
  5. Managing employee performance through coaching, counseling, training, and discipline when necessary
  6. Creating organizational culture through communication strategies that align with company values
  7. Developing training materials and providing training services to employees to ensure they are meeting their job requirements
  8. Developing and implementing a succession plan for key positions in the organization, including identifying future leaders and creating development plans for them
  9. Reviewing new technologies for training applications and recommending effective uses to leadership
  10. Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other training
  11. Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
  12. Conducting employee induction and entire onboarding process
  13. Perform other assigned task(s).

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Psychology, or a related field. Master’s Degree is a plus.
  2. Years of experience in learning and development, with a proven track record of designing and delivering effective training programs.
  3. Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training evaluation.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  7. Strong project management skills.
  8. Certification in learning and development, such as CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance), is a plus.
