Quidax is an African focused cryptocurrency exchange. We enable customers to buy/sell Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies (Ethereum, USDT and Litecoin) with Naira.

Job Position: Legal Intern

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities
The job of the Legal Intern at Quidax is to support the legal team in:

1. Conduct legal research on various topics as directed by legal officer;
2. Summarize findings in memos and reports;
3. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company’s operations;
4. Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
5. Proofread and edit documents for accuracy and clarity;
6. Assist in ensuring the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations;
7. Communicate with clients and external parties.

Other Responsibilities

1. Draft legal documents such as contracts, agreements, or pleadings under supervision.
2. Review and proofread drafts for accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
3. Provide legal advisory on business operations where necessary.
4. Join meetings or calls where necessary.
5. Communicate with various departments within the company to gather information and documents needed for legal matters.

Job Requirements

1. Must either finished university or have been called to the bar for not more than 2 years
2. Strong academic record
3. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
4. Outstanding research, verbal and written communication skills
5. Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills
6. Can work with remote teams spread across the world
