Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide and drive expert legal guidance on corporate affairs, regulatory compliance, and other corporate-related issues.
  2. Collaborate with clients to understand their specific service requirements and expectations.
  3. Draft SLAs that clearly define the scope of services, performance metrics, responsibilities, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
  4. Ensure SLAs are legally sound, compliant with relevant regulations, and designed to protect both the interests of the client and the company.
  5. Advise and adhere to employment law compliance, including wage and hour regulations, workplace discrimination, and employee rights.
  6. Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws.
  7. Provide legal guidance on issues related to hiring, termination, employee benefits, and workplace safety.
  8. Identify and assess conflicts, whether they involve contractual disputes, employment issues, or regulatory matters.
  9. Develop and implement conflict resolution strategies, which may involve negotiation, mediation, or, in extreme cases, litigation.
  10. Ensure that resolutions are achieved in a timely and fair manner, minimizing disruption to clients’ operations and maintaining positive relationships.
  11. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations to proactively address compliance issues and mitigate risks.
  12. Collaborate with clients to address compliance gaps and develop corrective action plans.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Law or related field.
  2. Consulting Expertise: A track record of at least 2 years in a consulting environment, showcasing your ability to thrive in dynamic, client-focused settings.
  3. Subject-Matter Mastery: Demonstrated expertise in corporate law, labor law, and HR practices.
  4. SLA Design: Proven experience in designing, optimizing, and implementing service-level agreements.

Key Competencies:

  1. Legal Expertise: Strong understanding of corporate law, labor law, contract law, and regulatory compliance. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear and practical guidance.
  2. SLA Design: Proficiency in creating and designing Service Level Agreements that align with client needs and industry standards.
  3. Conflict Resolution: Exceptional conflict resolution skills with the ability to handle disputes professionally and efficiently.
  4. Compliance Management: Experience in developing and managing compliance programs, including policies, procedures, and audits.
  5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey legal concepts and negotiate with clients and regulatory agencies.
  6. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess legal issues and propose solutions.
  7. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documentation and compliance processes.

Salary
N150,000 (Monthly Gross).
