Job Position: Legal Officer, Contract Management

Job Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

• This job role manages legal risk relative to contracts to limit corporate exposure.

Job Requirements

1. A first degree in Law i.e. (LLB)and Bachelor of Law (BL)
2. Required: Nig. Bar Association (NBA), and/or Inst. of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA)
3. At least 3 – 5 years experience in a legal function.
4. A Bachelor’s Degree in Law. A postgraduate degree is an added advantage.
5. Should have been called to the Nigerian Bar.

Technical Competencies:

1. Deep understanding of the laws and regulations governing the power industry
2. Deep understanding of corporate laws, securities laws & capital markets
3. Deep experience in implementing corporate governance frameworks
4. Strong knowledge of commercial legal issues
5. Strong sense of ethical business judgment
6. Excellent organizational and analytical skills
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills
8. Strong business acumen
9. Broad experience and demonstration of competence in computer software packages including Microsoft Office (in particular Word, Excel, and Power Point) Demonstrated success in managing and conducting a variety of litigation matters.
