Job Position: Logistics Officer

Job Locations: Onitsha – Anambra, Kano and Sokoto

Job Description

  1. Support the entire order cycle to enhance business development.
  2. Support Planning and managing of logistics & transportation.
  3. Supervise the truck drivers, loaders, loading, and proper stacking of finished products in the truck, and escalates maintenance of trucks to the line manager.
  4. Any Task given by Logistic Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Arrange the vehicles for both inter City & Intra-city as per the available Orders
  2. Follow-Up the existing route Plan for Inter & Intra-City
  3. Follow the established schedules of deliveries and try to improve
  4. Follow the documentation for all the vehicles being used for deliveries:
    • Both the Government documents, Procedures routes & related regulations
    • City Entry & Non-Entry times and type of vehicles along with other regulations related to Vehicle act
  5. Utilization & Maximization of Vehicle up to payloads.
  6. Follow-Up with Transporters & Drivers for arranging the vehicles and performing the pre-load checks for vehicles
  7. Ensure the vehicles are being load in-time and handover required documents to Drivers/ Transporters to leave for deliveries.
  8. Prepare the daily Vehicle tracking sheets – Follow-up for deliveries.
  9. Monitoring the in-Transit movement of trucks and report to concern staff if any deviations occur
  10. Prepare the daily / weekly / Monthly vehicle tracking sheets including the transit lead-Time & actual delivery lead time with deviations.
  11. POD collection, filing and preparing the POD tracking report.
  12. Partake in stock count on monthly, quarterly, and periodic bases and reconcile any variance (overage or shortage) of stock within stipulated time.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • Relevant certifications in this field.
  • Minimum of 3 years cognate experience in a related role, at a Food & Beverages or Appliances & Electronics Warehouse.

  8. Good interpersonal relations and negotiation skills.
  9. Ability to work with little or no supervision.

  12. Ability to relate effectively across different levels of authority.
  13. Time conscious and purposeful.
  14. Ability to take initiative and follow instruction.
  15. High-level proficiency in written and spoken English (Hausa or Yoruba Languages)

Salary
N80,000 – N100,000 monthly
