Job Position: Logistics Officer (Intern)
Job Location: Ggbagada, Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with necessary stakeholders etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.
- Plan and track the shipments to the destination
- Plan and coordinate transportation routes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Takes responsibility for ensuring quality in logistics support.
- As appropriate attend related forums on logistics and keep good relations with counterparts including suppliers on logistics management-related issues.
- Communicate with cargo heads and supervisors from different locations on the status of items.
- Work with Dispatch Riders to resolve issues or challenges experienced in the field.
- Track and monitor the movements of dispatch riders.
- Allotment and dealing majorly with light parcel items.
- Prepare and send daily reports to the Operation Manager.
- Provide information about our logistics services, pricing, and delivery options.
- Ensure adherence to parcel release protocols and document any deviations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to financial transactions.
- Collaborate with Central Processing Station (CPS) and Resolutions teams to ensure timely and accurate parcel deliveries.
- Assist in managing station logistics, including organizing parcels for dispatch and tripping.
- Stay informed about updates in logistics processes and share relevant information with the team.
Job Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields with 0 – 4 years work experience.
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
- Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP) is an advantage
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be a graduate
- Passion to build a career in Supply chain industry
