Job Position: Logistics Officer (Intern)

Job Location: Ggbagada, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Communicate effectively with necessary stakeholders etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.
  2. Plan and track the shipments to the destination
  3. Plan and coordinate transportation routes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  4. Takes responsibility for ensuring quality in logistics support.
  5. As appropriate attend related forums on logistics and keep good relations with counterparts including suppliers on logistics management-related issues.
  6. Communicate with cargo heads and supervisors from different locations on the status of items.
  7. Work with Dispatch Riders to resolve issues or challenges experienced in the field.
  8. Track and monitor the movements of dispatch riders.
  9. Allotment and dealing majorly with light parcel items.
  10. Prepare and send daily reports to the Operation Manager.
  11. Provide information about our logistics services, pricing, and delivery options.
  12. Ensure adherence to parcel release protocols and document any deviations.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures related to financial transactions.
  14. Collaborate with Central Processing Station (CPS) and Resolutions teams to ensure timely and accurate parcel deliveries.
  15. Assist in managing station logistics, including organizing parcels for dispatch and tripping.
  16. Stay informed about updates in logistics processes and share relevant information with the team.

Job Requirements

  1. Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields with 0 – 4 years work experience.
  2. Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  3. Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP) is an advantage
  4. Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Must be a graduate
  7. Passion to build a career in Supply chain industry
