Job Position: Lounge Manager

Job Location: Maitama, Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  1. A newly opened lounge and restaurant in Abuja requires the services of a committed and proactive lounge manager who would enjoy working in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
  2. The lounge manager will promote and grow the business and ensure that guests get excellent drinks, food, and service at all times.
  3. You will also manage inventory and resources, plan events, ensure that quality and safety controls are followed, create schedules, and set business objectives to increase profits and maximize customer satisfaction.
  4. You should also be able to work with diverse personalities and diffuse tense situations.

Job Responsibilities
Your responsibilities shall include but not limited to the following:

  1. Managing the business aspects of the lounge such as taking inventory, managing budgets, and setting goals.
  2. Training staff to provide excellent service to guests.
  3. Creating effective schedules and quickly resolving conflicts to ensure that the lounge is well staffed during peak hours.
  4. Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.
  5. Working with diverse personalities both on the staff and patrons.
  6. Planning and taking part in events.
  7. Diffusing tense situations between guests or staff members to prevent possible safety or legal issues, ejecting unruly persons, if needed.
  8. Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for guests.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate is expected to have the following skills:

  1. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree qualification with at least 4 years work experience.
  2. Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.
  3. Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to deal to irate guests.
  6. Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  7. Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.
  8. Decisiveness.
  9. Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
