Job Position: Marketing / Public Relations Officer

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute Marketing Strategy, Plans, Campaigns and Budget
  2. Control cost of Marketing and PR activities
  3. Coordinate the negotiation and service agreement with suppliers of marketing and PR materials.
  4. Liaising with vendors on procurements of marketing and promotional materials
  5. Planning and co-coordinating office events
  6. Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, promotional items, handouts, direct mail leaflets and photographs
  7. Ensure the company’s corporate public relations strategy is clearly defined, well-articulated and properly documented
  8. Establish and manage channels of communication with the media, public, shareholders and stake holders in cooperation with the CEO/CBO
  9. Liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email;
  10. Oversee the content and production of radio jingles, newspapers, magazines and Web sites
  11. Liaise with third party service providers such as printing houses, advertising/media agencies /government agencies like LASAA, etc.
  12. Control the quality of all communication material to ensure that they conform to ABN’s brand standards and build a strong corporate image and identity.
  13. Manage the contents of ABN official social media pages
  14. Head the Editorial board of the internal newsletter and coordinate its publication on a monthly basis
  15. Propose strategies on how to organize product/service promotions in collaboration with relevant departments
  16. Support with prompt deliveries of marketing/promotional items from the head office
  17. Organize branch events in collaboration with the Branch Managers
  18. Manage ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Marketing, Business or any related field preferably in the bank or other financial institution
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in creating and implementing successful marketing campaigns, interventions and providing advisory on market insights.
  3. Excellent performance in current position and not less than one year in current position
  4. Experience in Marketing, Communications, Creative Design and Brand Management
  5. Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion etc.)
  6. Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
  7. Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g. social media) and non- digital (e.g. press) channels
  8. Good understanding of the bank’s business and knowledge of products
  9. Effective in written and oral communication
  10. Strong interpersonal skills, people-oriented personality and strong team collaboration.
