Job Description

  1. Trustcrow is seeking a seasoned and talented Marketing & Branding Lead to join our team.
  2. This position is the “brain” driving our marketing initiatives and developing strategies to increase our brand awareness, acquire new customers, and drive revenue growth.
  3. We are looking for a creative Marketing & Brand Lead who has experience executing and developing strategies for Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Government (B2G) customer acquisition.
  4. You will work directly with the executive team to better understand project expectations, content ideation, participate in the brainstorming process, and conduct research where necessary.
  5. We’re a dynamic company and we are looking for a passionate individual to join our organization and bring strategic value to our operations team.
  6. Responsibility includes but is not limited to taking ownership of Trustcrow’s marketing functions through the line including budgeting, team building, revenue generation, strategy and execution.
  7. The candidate will also work with other team members to respond to vendors and RFPs, develop mutually beneficial proposals, negotiate contract terms, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and review current market trends in order to propose new business ideas that can improve revenue margins.
  8. The successful candidate will marry these characteristics and be able to provide solutions for different business needs while exhibiting good management skills and a strong understanding of the company’s products and services.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Developing the company’s brand: Responsible for developing the brand identity (including the setting of style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision and value proposition) and messaging. This includes creating a unique value proposition, developing a consistent visual identity, and creating enduring messaging that resonates with the company’s target audience and results in increased sales, brand loyalty and improving market share.
  2. Presenting the brand strategy to directors and sales teams at internal meetings and conferences and championing the brand internally making sure all elements of the company understand the brand and its goals. Translate brand elements into plans and go- to-market strategies and forecast pricing, sales, volume and performance metrics for the brand.
  3. Building awareness: Responsible for creating awareness of Trustcrow and its products. This involves developing and executing campaigns that reach the target audience through various channels such as social media, content marketing, email marketing, and advertising.
  4. Community building: Build and grow our community through social media, content marketing, and other community-building activities. Engage with our community to create a loyal customer base that advocates for our brand.
  5. Online and off-line marketing oversight: Oversee all aspects of digital marketing channels including email, social media, and search advertising. Ensure that all campaigns are optimized for maximum impact and aligned with the overall marketing strategy. Execute traditional marketing efforts such as product launches, exhibitions, road shows, photo shoots and other field events. Develop and execute experiential surveys, and sampling programmes, and major events.
  6. Strategic Sales Partnership: Develop, build and manage meaningful relationships with potential strategic partners to drive new business opportunities and campaigns.
  7. Agency, affiliate, and referral program building: Develop and manage agency partnerships, as well as build and grow our affiliate and referral programs. Create incentives and programs that encourage partners and customers to refer new business.
  8. Driving lead generation: Responsible for generating leads that can be passed to the sales team. This includes developing and executing campaigns that capture the interest of potential customers and encourage them to provide their contact information.
  9. Business Development: Work closely with the sales team to develop strategies that align with marketing efforts. This includes developing sales collateral and marketing materials, supporting lead nurturing efforts, and providing insights into the customer journey. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue growth.
  10. Measuring and optimizing: Responsible for tracking the performance of marketing campaigns and optimizing them for better results. This includes analyzing metrics such as website traffic, conversion rates, competitor activities and customer acquisition cost to identify areas for improvement. Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and assess ROI and KPIs.
  11. Create marketing research reports which identifies pain points, solutions, competitors, supply/demand, trends, budgets, brand message and advertising medians, financial return and marketing ROI.
  12. Seek out new marketing opportunities that fit with the brand and maximizing all opportunities for growth.
  13. Sourcing vendors and products that fit with the context of the brand and managing these parties to ensure marketing budgets are met.
  14. Hiring, training and coaching other marketing team members
  15. Any other duties as assigned or required by the company or the group.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Marketing, Business Management or related field. (A masters in marketing or other related fields will be an added advantage)
  • 8+years’ equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience as a marketing manager (or more senior role) with a credible company is ideal.
  • Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix.
  • Candidate must possess a strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead off-line and digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
  • Up-to-date with latest trends and marketing best practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies and communicate recommendations to executives.
  • Experience in performing in-depth marketing research, identifying target audiences, developing marketing business plans and devising effective campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Experience of surveying, experiential and event management.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, Google Adwords and display advertising campaigns
  • Agency/Vendor management and team working skills.
  • Outstanding writing and presentation skills.
  • Analytical bias, enabling you to understand insights and commercial data.
  • A passionate and engaging attitude to both work and life.
  • The ability to influence staff on a 360 basis both up and down the organization is essential.
  • Experience with and an understanding of market research
  • Creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.

Salary
N700,000 – N1,000,000 Monthly, depending on experience and skill level.
