Job Position: Marketing & E-Commerce Specialist

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. This role performs a consulting function, serving as a resource and concept generator to the marketing manager(s) in order to implement the marketing strategy.
  2. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts, over periods of up to 3 months.
  3. Implements all through-the-line marketing activities.
  4. Implements marketing plans for selected market segments.
  5. Manages and updates various databases.
  6. Supports the leads management process.
  7. Manages office admin and budget.
  8. Constructs marketing messages directed at intermediaries and end customers.
  9. Identifies new business sales opportunities and builds it into marketing messages.
  10. Monitors marketing environment and competitor activities.
  11. Conducts marketing presentations.
  12. Develops understanding of BU segments utilising research data & any other data sources available.
  13. Is responsible for the conceptualisation and execution of marketing events.
  14. Identifies, builds relationships and interfaces with internal and external resources.
  15. Takes appropriate decisions vis-a-vis marketing inventory.
  16. Provides marketing support activities to distribution channels consulting function, serving as a resource and concept generator to the marketing manager(s).

Materials Design & Production:

  4. Provides marketing support activities to distribution channels.
  5. Supports the leads management process.

Market Research:

  1. Monitors marketing business environment and competitor activities and offerings.
  2. Gathers information on local and international market trends for relevant product set.
  3. Interacts with the market to gain information.
  4. Identifies new business sales opportunities and builds them into marketing messages.
  5. Develops understanding of business segments utilising research data & any other data sources available.

Job Requirements

  1. A First Degree or its equivalent
  2. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  3. Interpersonal and time management skills
  4. Good knowledge of MS packages (Especially MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  5. Possess 5 years relevant marketing communications experience.
