Job Position: Marketing Manager

Job Description 

  1. The Marketing function is central to the overall success of the school.
  2. The Marketing Manager is the brand custodian, responsible for building brand awareness and maintaining the school’s brand reputation.
  3. The role is responsible for developing and executing compelling marketing initiatives to reach, engage, and attract the target audience, ensuring brand consistency across all marketing touchpoints.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all marketing touchpoints, including marketing materials, communications, events, and digital platforms.
  2. Develop strategies to build and strengthen the school’s brand identity, positioning it as the most prestigious school in Nigeria.
  3. Manage agency relationships and collaborate on creative campaigns, advertising, media buying, events and PR.
  4. Plan, coordinate, and execute online and offline events, including open houses, workshops, conferences, and community engagement activities.
  5. Lead the digital marketing communications function, including website management, social media, SEO/SEM, content marketing, and email marketing, to drive brand visibility and attract prospective students and parents.
  6. Oversee the creative development and production of communication materials.
  7. Provide insightful reports and recommendations to optimize marketing strategies and improve audience attraction efforts.
  8. Conduct thorough market research and audience analysis to identify and understand the target audience’s needs, preferences, and motivations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in a marketing role.
  • Proven experience in brand development and marketing strategy.
  • MBA or Master’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is an added advantage.
  • Marketing experience in the educational sector or multinational organisation is desirable.
  • Membership of a professional organisation e.g., NIMN, NIPR, CIM is desirable.

Skills and Knowledge:

Strong understanding of branding, marketing principles, and integrated marketing communications.

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and engage diverse audiences.
  2. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  3. Proficiency in digital marketing strategies, including social media, search engine marketing, content marketing, and email marketing.
  4. Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor multiple marketing initiatives simultaneously.
  5. Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and generate innovative ideas.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  7. Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis.
