Job Position: Materials Management Supervisor

Job Location: Port Harcourt

Job  Responsibilities

  1. Manage the inventory of the organization
  2. Manage a free BOM scrubber design to review the manufacturer’s current part lists.
  3. Implement and train buyers to be Buyer/Planners and managing their own shop orders.
  4. Manage, coordinate and schedule facility relate projects ranging from building renovation to equipment specifications and purchases utilizing bid processes.
  5. Implement OSHA forklift safety standards to ensure safe and efficient warehouse operations when unloading freight trucks.
  6. Plan, control, and supervise the purchasing and inventory control activities for a manufacturing facility of high-end passenger elevators.
  7. Meet with senior plant executives to report logistic department KPI’s and budget expenditures.
  8. Work closely with vendors to ensure commissary stock levels are maintained and damage goods are replaced or survey.
  9. Review shop drawings with production personnel to determine engineering mistakes of dropping wrong materials into the computer modules BOM.
  10. Conduct commissary sales, maintaining inventories, placing orders, preparing purchasing reports for non-purchase and purchase card orders.
  11. Ensure that all OSHA and safety rules are maintained and enforce, as well as all hazardous materials handling/shipping/disposal regulations.
  12. Oversee booking of scrap customers for scrap unloading
  13. Monitoring scrap loading and maintaining safety practices
  14. Preparation of waybills for scrapped items
  15. Scrapyard maintenance
  16. Upload quantity of Quantity into the system
  17. Maintain inventory list of items in the scrap yard
  18. Maintain a proper file for scrap related documentation
  19. Spent Alumina loading into jumbo bags
  20. Spent Alumina documentations
  21. MINMAX items report generation and review
  22. Any other job that will be assigned.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of HND/BSc or its equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument or Electronics) discipline
  2. Minimum of 5years working experience handling materials

  1. Excellent knowledge in computer software usage – Microsoft word, excel and power point
  2. Excellent communication both oral and writing
  3. Knowledge of oracle
  4. Knowledge of warehouse operations
  5. Team work with ability of multi-tasking
  6. Knowledge of engineering materials
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
