Future Resilience and Development Foundation (FRAD) is a registered non-profit organization with the corporate affairs commission (CAC) with No CAC/IT/NO/139393 in accordance with the Nigerian Law in 2019. The organization was established with the sole aim and objective to promote social service through community development projects that ensure meaningful access to services for people in need. The organization also aims to build the Resilience of vulnerable populations, especially women and children to create a safe space for them to feel safe, and free from all forms of harm. We aim to reduce illiteracy through various education programs to ensure children are supported to go to school remain in school and become good citizens.

Job Position: MEAL Intern

Job Location: Borno

Job Description

  • The MEAL Intern is responsible for documentation of all MEAL-related activities, as well as supporting all other MEAL-related activities.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are undertaken as planned
  2. Support the Co-coordinator implementation of assessments and surveys, including baseline, mid-term review, and end line.
  3. Support field visits to monitor progress and support monitoring and evaluation activities, including emergency response.
  4. Provide support to program staff when needed, to organize lessons learned workshops during project implementation or during the end of the project.
  5. Participate in the designing and implementation of studies, assessments, research, and learning in cooperation with program staff.
  6. Support the organization with the response and Feedback mechanism at all levels.
  7. Arrange logistics for monitoring trips and evaluations and learning events at the office and field when required
  8. Work with MEAL Officer and ensure data management safety and confidentiality
  9. Travel to the field when needed
  10. Other tasks required by supervisor.

Job Requirements

  1. Experience in Stata and SPSS will be advantageous
  2. Experience in program monitoring and evaluation, including the setting of indicators and collection, analysis and presentation of data relating to program work is preferred
  3. Quick learner with ability to think strategically and creatively
  4. Excellent ability to meet tight deadlines accurately and on time

Desirable skills:

  1. Proficiency in the use of Kobo toolbox and research.
  2. Previous experience using analysis tool (Excel, SPSS or Power BI)
  3. Proven success in designing, implementing, and operating M&E systems from project initiation to close out
  4. Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies
  5. Willingness and ability to travel
  6. Experience in planning and managing surveys, developing and refining data collection tools, and with data quality assessments and oversight
  7. Communication skills (English, Hausa and Kanuri is added advantage)
