Job Description

  • Accountable for the Operation & Maintenance of Power Plant down time, integration of sensors, controllers, and machineries.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develops and implement strategies and plans to ensure all major transmission equipment and facilities are regularly inspected to promote effective operation.
  2. Accountable for the trouble-free operation of all Power Plant equipment by adopting the Preventive /predictive maintenance of the equipment in the Power Plant.
  3. Accountable for the maintaining and monitoring the record of miscarriages and taking corrective actions.
  4. Prepared the annual expenditure budget for his/her sections and analyze the variance (Budget Vs Actual) and imitate necessary effective control system.
  5. Plans & executes the jobs informed by the operation team in the sections entrusted for smooth operation of the plant.
  6. Shall report to the Head Power Plant any events of Mechanical Equipment’s complications.
  7. Manage risk and expectation to ensure safe and successful delivery.
  8. Ensuring the standby equipment availability all time and maintaining the critical spares for the equipment in respective area.
  9. Plan and execute Servicing and maintenance of the Power plant equipment during off cop period.
  10. The training needs to be identified for your subordinates and draw necessary schedule to import the training at regular intervals.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum requirement of a B.Tech / BE / B.Sc Degree in Mechanical Engineering / HND
  2. Possession of a certificate for Boiler Operating Engineers (BOE) is mandatory
  3. Additional advantage if certified by COREN, NSE, or any related professional qualification
  4. At least 7-10 years of experience in any Power Plant, with preference given to those with experience in Bagasse Based Power plants
  5. Hands-on experience with Travelling Grate Boiler using Bagasse as Fuel is required, with a minimum boiler pressure rating of 87 bar
  6. Experience in Back Pressure & Condensing Turbines is necessary
  7. Experience in Fuel / Ash Handling System is required
  8. Proficiency in Boiler / Turbine DCS Automation Operation is a must
  9. Basic computer skills are expected (MS word, excel & power point).
