Job Position: Unit Head, Mobile Money Wallet

Job Locations: Lagos

Job Description

  1. Conceptualize the value proposition, and strategic initiatives for adoption of Mobile and e-Wallets.
  2. Manage Wallet product initiatives throughout their lifecycles from planning to implementation, sales, monitoring, product support in line with the Bank’s strategic objectives.
  3. Build and manage payment ecosystems built around Wallets within Mass Markets and Corporate organizations e.g. Manufacturing, Transport Service, Public sectors, Private Organization, Financial Institutions etc.
  4. Build strong relationships with Industry Leaders, Regulators, Payment Aggregators and Switches to gain insight to new regulations, technology trends and have first-hand information for better business decisions, directions, and policy implementation.
  5. Develop Management briefs, perform periodic reviews and evaluation of performance, while proposing process improvements and corrective actions so as to remain competitive in the target markets.
  6. Build and sustain a robust financial model to manage the cost profile of the business, while meeting the projected profitability of the business in line with pre-agreed KPIs.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and manage compelling initiatives and solutions that will aid targeted customer acquisition and activation activities.
  2. Identify and obtain new payment mandates (around wallets) from corporate bodies, as well as Government and Non-Government Organizations leveraging on existing relationships within the Bank.
  3. Develop and utilize specific marketing programs to drive results in the identified Retail, Commercial and Public Sector markets.

Research and Analysis:

  1. Study and analyze market conditions.
  2. Identify key industry peers/ competitors and consumer trends.
  3. Articulate market requirements and opportunities for product innovation and enhancements.

Product Planning and Management:

  1. Determine product specifications, create product road maps and define the long term product strategy.
  2. Develop pricing strategies and product policies.
  3. Manage interactions and communicate with cross functional teams.

Product Marketing:

  1. Develop product marketing plans and event campaigns to generate product awareness and demand.
  2. Support sales and marketing teams with the necessary product knowledge and technical expertise.
  3. Conduct product knowledge and awareness presentations; develop sales tools and training materials to equip relationship managers on product sales.
  4. Provide inputs for marketing collateral development and implement marketing plans in conjunction with all departments.
  5. Drive ongoing improvement in sales and profitability.

Customer and End-User Support:

  1. Manage product-related support, feedback and inquiries from users.
  2. Co-ordinate market research to track customer and end-user feedback.
  3. Use market feedback to inform product refinements and ongoing development.
  4. Supervise, co-ordinate and manage the activities of the Mobile Wallet Team members.

Job Requirements
Education:

  1. B Sc. in relevant discipline.
  2. MBA is an added advantage.
  3. Professional Certifications in cognate knowledge areas.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years post NYSC experience in FCMG, Telecoms, Banking, Micro Finance, Mobile Money, Payments, and other relevant sectors.
