Job Position: Mobile Plant Operator

Job Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • The Mobile Plant operator is responsible for operating, loading, hauling, monitoring and dumping all Mobile Equipments used for all mining operations.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for operating Mobile Equipment as a multi-skill or a unitary operator
  2. Carry out Pre start Work-by inspection of mobile Equipment before Operating
  3. Work With Supervisors at closing all Gaps with respect to the Quarry Operations
  4. Adhere to all LAP Safety Health, safety and environmental standards.
  5. Work With the Quarry team as a unit, and ensuring that he aligns with the global direction of leadership, as per the tasks Prescribed to be done
  6. Attend all scheduled meetings for which he is invited
  7. This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and the job holder may be required to perform duties outside of this as operationally required
  8. Safety compliance.
  9. % reduction of repetitive failures
  10. Equipment ownership.
  11. Compliance with Integrated Management System best practice

Job Requirements

  1. Minumim SSCE / O’ Level with 5 credits including Maths and English.
  2. Minimum of 5 Years post qualification experience
  3. Machine Main System knowledge

Technical / Functional Skills:

  1. Health and Safety awareness, Inspection and understanding of machine
  2. Fully understand the machine operation parameters (speed, pressures and temperatures), can monitors dials and indicators and do relevant adjustment and drilling systems,
  3. Good written and oral communication skills
  4. Strong computer Skills especially Excel, word, PowerPoint and email applications
  5. Ability to prioritize with excellent time management skills
  6. Good attention to detail
  7. Good communication skill
