Job Position: Motion Designer / 2D Animator

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Motion Designer to join our team.

  1. The ideal candidate should have a passion for animation, a strong eye for design, and the technical skill to bring ideas to life.
  2. The Motion Designer will create high-quality motion graphics for various media platforms.
  3. This includes animation, 2D Animation with DUIK, Joystick and Sliders or Rubber Hose, and compositing.
  4. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of design, colour, composition, and typography and a thorough understanding of animation principles and storytelling.

Job Responsibilities
As a Motion Designer at our company, you will:

  1. Designing motion graphics and other visuals for video, web, and print media
  2. Creating simple storyboards and animatics to illustrate concepts
  3. Developing motion graphics per design specifications
  4. Working with other creative professionals to ensure quality and consistency
  5. Utilizing motion graphics software to create visuals
  6. Ensuring all motion graphics are optimized for a wide range of platforms
  7. Meeting timelines and deadlines for projects

Job Requirements
Our ideal Motion Designer will have the following:

  1. A portfolio demonstrating creative and technical abilities
  2. Proficiency with relevant software such as After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  3. Skilled in using DUIK, Joysticks ‘n Sliders or Rubber Hose plugin for After Effects
  4. Strong design sense with an eye for detail
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  7. Ability to work to tight deadlines
