Job Position: Tax Officer
Location: Lagos

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Officer to join our client team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tax-related activities

The candidate will ensure compliance with Nigerian tax regulations and support the organisation in maintaining accurate tax records and payments.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Handle selected state government audits.
  2. Collect, review, and update local state tax laws.
  3. Prepare and implement annual tax payment plans.
  4. Gather tax vouchers and receipts from stores and maintain comprehensive tax files.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and statutory requirements.
  6. Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.

Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Audit.
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance or tax-related role.
  3. Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
