Job Position: .NET Web Developer / Programmer

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Design, code, test, debug, and implement new web based and mobile applications
  2. Maintain and enhance existing C# code for web and mobile applications
  3. Create and maintain SQL databases, tables, views, stored procedures etc. (Microsoft SQL Server 2008+)
  4. Communicate project status and identify technical risks
  5. Monitor and maintain application security and integrity
  6. Support production systems including analysis and troubleshooting of problems
  7. Provide technical knowledge to support other staff members within the organization
  8. Interact with internal and external team members throughout the application life-cycle
  9. Assist in the planning and documentation of site architecture and artifacts
  10. Implementing and developing best practices and architectural standards
  11. Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies based on product needs and industry trends
  12. Develop creative solutions and write technical design & architecture documents
  13. Re-architects legacy applications to make them scalable, presentable and cloud ready

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of 3 or more years of solid software development experience
  2. Strong knowledge in .NET platform (ASP .NET) and C#
  3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008+ and T-SQL language
  4. Strong working knowledge of front-end HTML/HTML5, JavaScript (including jQuery) and CSS
  5. Working knowledge of XML
  6. Proficient in MS Visual Studio and TFS, including application build/deployment
  7. Knowledge and experience with creating and consuming web services.

  8. May be required to work off-hours for project needs, support/upgrade/outage reasons, and systems implementations
  9. Knowledge of AI Techniques such as Neural Network Programming would be an asset
  10. Knowledge/Previous experience with Genetic Algorithm Framework for .NET (GAF) would be an asset
  11. Knowledge of Steering Behaviors Programming Techniques would be an asset.
