Job Description

  1. Patient Care: Providing direct care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses or other healthcare professionals. This includes assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
  2. Vital Signs Monitoring: Taking and recording patients’ vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiratory rate.
  3. Medication Assistance: Assisting with medication administration, including administering oral medications, applying topical treatments, and assisting with the preparation of injections (under the supervision of a registered nurse).
  4. Basic Medical Procedures: Assisting with basic medical procedures, such as wound dressing, catheterization, and specimen collection.
  5. Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including observations, treatments given, and any changes in the patient’s condition.
  6. Communication: Effectively communicating with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to provide information, answer questions, and report any concerns or changes in patients’ conditions.
  7. Equipment and Supply Management: Ensuring that medical equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stocked for patient care.

Job Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor’s Degree with 2 – 5 years relevant work experience.
