Job Position: Event Coordinator & Partnership Officer

Job Location: Sururlere, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking for an Event Coordinator and partnership who will plan and organise events that will resonate with our audience and strategically highlight our clients and our brands.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide strategic direction for all events and ensure effective integrated marketing strategies for events that target our audience.
  2. Successfully plan, manage and execute events end-to-end for the brand.
  3. Build the event function to create revenue-generating opportunities for – both B2B and B2C.
  4. Produce detailed proposals for events – timelines, venues, vendors, legal obligations, staffing and budgets.
  5. Create work schedules for events, delegating and assigning roles as required for successful execution.
  6. Represent the company in conversations with key stakeholders & partners.
  7. Develop relationships to identify new monetizable event opportunities for the brand.
  8. Manage all event planning, coordinate logistics and vendors, be hands-on on the day of the event to troubleshoot and ensure seamless, timely and cost-effective execution.
  9. Create, maintain, and improve systems and processes for organizing events and the events function.
  10. Analyse and report on the performance and ROI of events and adapt future plans accordingly for optimal results
  11. Collaborate extensively with Sales to pitch event ideas to brands as part of their marketing mix.
  12. Act as a key partner for Sales teams by using the event function as a strategic tool for lead generation and to build relationships with key clients.
  13. Support the Content team in content creation from events.
  14. Ensure synergies with other products and teams are maximized and also closely collaborate with the international teams.
  15. Ensure the brand has a presence at key events in Nigeria and the diaspora.
  16. Contribute to team learning sessions and facilitate knowledge sharing on an ongoing basis
  17. Build relationships and strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders in the events space and across relevant industries.
  18. Stay up to date on the latest trends and be aware of competitive activity in the market to ensure that the events offering is always innovative and impactful.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc / HND/ MBA in any relevant discipline.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience doing event management.
  • Passion for producing original, relatable, fashion and corporate events for Nigerian and Diaspora audience.
  • Strong business acumen to drive partnerships and revenue generation for events as a product.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Great negotiation skills to get the best price from venues and vendors.
  • Great relationship-building skills to cultivate a network of event partners across industries.
  • Strong understanding of building budgets within Excel and Presentations in Powerpoint.
