The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation is a public sector-focused philanthropic organization, founded by Aigboje and Ofowvwe Aig-Imoukhuede to improve the lives of Africans through transformed public service delivery and access to quality primary healthcare.

The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation accomplishes its mission by supporting the reform initiatives of public sector entities, providing financing, consulting support, and capacity-building programmes and resources for the public sector workforce. The Foundation provides funding and strategic support to drive the work of affiliate organizations such as ABC Health, the private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria (PSHAN), the Nigerian Solidarity Support Fund (NSSF) and others.

Job position: Partnerships & Funding Intern

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. The Funding & Partnerships Intern, is responsible for supporting the unit in building & maintaining partnerships with donors, grantors, other potential funding sources for the Foundation, grantees & recipients for the Foundation Trust.
  2. This role is instrumental to securing financial resources to support the organization’s mission & programs.
  3. You will work closely with the programmes team to identify funding opportunities and forge strategic partnerships to advance the Foundation’s goals.

Job Responsibilities
The Funding & Partnerships Associate will:
Funding:

  1. Assist in identifying and researching potential individual and institutional donors to build a pipeline of funding prospects.
  2. Help prepare grant proposals, applications, and pitch decks tailored to different funding sources, ensuring alignment with grant guidelines and requirements.
  3. Support the grant management process, including research, development, and submission of proposals, as well as reporting and compliance with grantors’ guidelines and deadlines.

Partnerships:

  1. Assist in identifying potential corporate partners and individuals for sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
  2. Support regular communication and acknowledgment of stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with the Communications team to assist in planning and executing fundraising events, leveraging these opportunities to attract new donors and partners.
  4. Help develop and maintain accurate records of potential and actual stakeholders (donors, partners, grant opportunities, applicants, recipients, and interactions) in the Foundation’s donor database (Monday.com).
  5. Other roles as assigned.

Job Requirements

  1. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to help craft compelling proposals and presentations.
  2. Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  3. Proven ability to conduct thorough research.
  4. Enthusiastic and willing to learn about funding and partnerships.
