Job Position: Pharmacy Assistant
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of a Pharmacy Assistant/Technician. The successful candidate will assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and delivering excellent patient service. This role requires attention to detail, good organisational skills, and a strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately.
  2. Receive and confirm prescription orders from patients and healthcare providers.
  3. Count, label, and package medications according to prescription requirements.
  4. Maintain accurate patient records and update inventory systems.
  5. Ensure proper storage of medicines according to standard protocols.
  6. Assist in stock management—receiving, shelving, and monitoring expiry dates.
  7. Educate patients on basic medication usage and provide excellent customer service.
  8. Comply with all regulatory standards and pharmacy best practices.
  9. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the dispensary and pharmacy area.
  10. Support the pharmacist in any administrative or operational duties as required.

Job Requirements

  1. Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy is an advantage.
  2. Good knowledge of medications and pharmacy practices.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  5. Proficient in basic computer use and pharmacy software systems.
  6. Must be dependable, trustworthy, and customer-service oriented.

Salary
N90,000 – N120,000 Monthly.
